has traversing rights over 17,000 hectares

Sandcastle,
part of the malaria free Wesley Coastal
Conservancy, is located 75 km from East
London and +- 200km from Port Elizabeth,
set on the coast. The property is 252
hectares (600 acres) with its' western
border being the Gqusha river (pronounced
'Goosha' meaning sheep or mutton in Xhosa)
which forms a large lagoon where it abuts
the property and the southern border being
the Indian Ocean.
A small river called the Inqualura meanders
through the centre of the property and
breaks through into the sea about four
times a year. The other two boundaries
are farms. Sandcastle has a sea frontage
of 2km with wide white sandy beaches and
towering dunes, which makes for great
strolling and shelling. There is a small
herd of approximately 130 indigenous Nguni
cattle on the property that feed off the
highly nutritious soetveld (sweetveld).
